Ryan doing his best “Alan” from The Hangover

Ryan Acree

The first thing you should know about me is that I am a child of the 80’s. Yes, I was born in the mid-70’s, but I really don’t have any memories in the 70’s at all. I grew up with Saturday morning cartoons, movies like Superman, Jaws, Batman, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. My main passion growing up was music and listened to the radio constantly. I also was stuck in front of my TV watching the movie networks and digesting all the movies I could. In college, my best friends worked at a video rental store and through their connections, I continued my consumption of blockbusters and cinema. Yes my favorite movie is War Games and I do work in IT, but I am no computer genius like David Lightman, although I am quite the audio nerd and producer of the Video CULTure podcast.

Matthew Essary

Matt has worn many hats in his life, licensed suicide prevention counselor, convention booth babe, computer repairman, pro wrestling victim, and currently film journalist/critic for a famous media outlet. So really why not podcasting? Matt loves films from every genre and prides himself on being knowledgeable about the sleaziest cult films as well as the timeless award winners. He's even been known to ramble on about world cinema. He sincerely looks forward to bringing cool movies to your attention and having a few laughs a long the way.

Christopher Hooker

Chris is the author of the Mokolé half of the White Wolf Roleplaying book, “LAWS OF THE WILD: Changing Breeds (Book 2)”, which is likely one of the least respected books in the MES history. He left the southeastern U.S. in 2011 for the U.K., in the hopes of becoming a screenwriter. During his six years in the city of Manchester, he received Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Screen Studies, and a Master of Arts in Screenwriting, both from the University of Manchester. Now he lives in the eastern end of Atlanta, working as a Production Assistant, Caterer, and Screenwriter… and depending on the day, writes for Ain’t It Cool, and here on Video CULTure.
